Samsung bridging the gap between Smartphone’s and tablets?
Recently, Yahoo Korea reported that Samsung has a new device in production. This new device will be of the Galaxy range of smartphones and tablets. It will be called the Samsung Q and is intended to be a sort of crossover, which will bridge the gap between smartphones and tablets.
The new Samsung Galaxy Q might have a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED display.
If rumors are to be believed, the Samsung Q will debut at the IFA 2011 this year in Berlin in September.
The current range of Samsung phones have different display sizes and the largest one is the 4.5 inch display on Samsung’s Infuse 4G. The Samsung tablets have a screen size of about 7 inches. The Samsung Galaxy Tab had a 7inch touch screen display.
Apparently the Samsung Galaxy Q will weigh only 108 grams and its dimensions are as follows: 120x68x9.3mm. Also it will run on an Android OS v2.2 and will be available in one color only; black.
The smart phone has a standard battery of 1500 mAh and can be put on a stand-by all day up to 510 hours and a talk time of about 7hours and 30mins.
The phone’s size seems just right; it’s got a big screen and yet it fits in your pocket.
