Microsoft Flight 8 - Game Screen

So here’s an unusual release from Microsoft. In between the big Beta releases of Windows 8 and Visual Studio 11, Microsoft quietly released their Windows live game, The Microsoft Flight. As the name suggests this is a game that makes the player fly airplanes in different missions and challenges. Now this game should not be confused with the Xbox Live games because it is not part of Xbox family of games. Instead this is being offered for free and all you need is a Windows live ID and broadband internet.

Now a bit about the game – I have been playing the game for the past few days and I have to say that the quality of graphics is really high. Its not as smooth around the corners like the Xbox games but it is not just another PC game. The high quality graphic layout really appeals to you. The game is made up of different challenges and missions which load up based on the amount of time you spend on the game and your proficiency level. The planes that you use in the missions are not fighter jets or any such Top Gun stuff, but single engine planes like a Cessna. So while it does give you a good orientation about flying planes this game doesn’t fall in the war games category.

Then there is the marketplace as well from where you can buy different planes that you want to fly. So you can buy a more robust plane with better specifications if you are willing to spend the moolah.

Well considering that this is a free game I think its much more than what user can ask for. So my advice is go for it guys. If you have a computer that meets the hardware spec then I think you should go for it.
